Description

The starting point of the route is behind Hotel Süsom Givè. Through rough terrain, it goes towards Il Jalet (Piz Daint). At the first junction, the path leads uphill until you finally reach Il Jalet. Pause a little and enjoy the view offered to you. After a short break, continue towards Jufplaun and Buffalora. From Buffalora, you can return home by PostBus or hike back up to the starting point at Süsom Givè.

By the Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau, from the Upper or Lower Engadin) hourly to Zernez

Then by PostBus from Zernez or from Val Müstair and Mals hourly to Süsom Givè

Anreise Information

From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina Tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela Pass to Zernez on H27. From Zernez on H28 towards Val Müstair to the Süsom Givè pass height (30 minutes from Vereina south portal)

From the east: via Reschen Pass (Nauders) on SS40 to Mals. From Mals on SS41 to the Swiss border at Müstair. From Müstair on H28 towards Zernez to the Süsom Givè pass height

From the south: via Bolzano and Merano on SS40 to Mals. From Mals on SS41 to the Swiss border at Müstair. From Müstair on H28 to the Süsom Givè pass height

The Hotel Süsom-Givè in Tschierv was built in 1935 and is a family-run business, already in the 3rd generation. Thanks to its good location, the hotel is an optimal starting point for hikes in the Swiss National Park Val Nüglia, mountain hikes/climbing on the local mountain Piz Daint, beautiful motorcycle, bicycle and bike tours and it also serves as a pleasant stopover for trips to South Tyrol.
