Dicziunari Jauer

Romansh for holiday guests

Savurando
Romansh, which is spoken almost exclusively in Graubünden, is part of the Swiss identity. There are five regional variants of Romansh, also known as idioms. This diversity has arisen due to the remoteness of many valleys. In Val Müstair, the idiom Vallader is widespread, but the people of Val Müstair speak the local dialect Jauer. For this reason, the locals are also known as «Jauras e Jauers».
