Description

From Süsom Givè (Ofenpass height at 2149 m above sea level), the path goes through the rock formations of Il Jalet until the Jufplaun plateau is reached. At the end of the plateau, the path leads steeply down into Val Mora and to Alp Mora, which invites you to rest. At Alp Sprella the path turns left, followed by a short, steep ascent into Valbella. At the crossing into Val Müstair is the mountain lake Lai da Chazforà. The path descends over flower meadows to Funtauna Grossa and continues through forest to Tschierv.

The route was rated under favorable weather conditions; current weather conditions and forecasts must be strictly observed before starting the hike. This hike does not require alpine experience.
Hiking boots are recommended.

From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina Tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via Flüela Pass to Zernez on H27. From Zernez on H28 towards Val Müstair to the Süsom Givè pass (30 minutes from Vereina south portal)
From the east: via Reschenpass (Nauders) on SS40 to Mals. From Mals on SS41 to the Swiss border at Müstair. From Müstair on H28 towards Zernez to the Süsom Givè pass

Hotel Süsom Givè

The Hotel Süsom-Givè in Tschierv was built in 1935 and is a family-run business, already in the 3rd generation. Thanks to its good location, the hotel is an optimal starting point for hikes in the Swiss National Park Val Nüglia, mountain hikes/climbing on the local mountain Piz Daint, beautiful motorcycle, bicycle and bike tours and it also serves as a pleasant stopover for trips to South Tyrol.
