Description

The historic traffic route from the old customs house at the Umbrail Pass to the Dreisprachen Peak was built during the First World War and is now considered a historic path of national significance. The path is an architectural masterpiece and unique in its execution in the region. Erosion has heavily affected the path in recent years, making restoration urgent. The Nature Park has launched a project to renovate this historic traffic route in order to preserve this unique cultural monument. Today, the path is also of touristic importance, not least because of its use as a hiking trail.
