Experience hand spinning with spinning wheel/hand spindle up close and try it out for yourself. Experience how soft wool is turned into a thread - directly on site to touch and participate in

On International Hand Spinning Day, an old craft becomes a living experience. On the Plaz Grond in Müstair, the spinning wheels are turning. Fibres become threads and as a visitor you dive directly into the fascinating world of traditional wool processing. Spinners from near and far present their skills, invite you to exchange ideas and show how timeless this craft is.

Time: from 10.30 am - 3.00 pm
Moments of pleasure: The Hotel Chalavaina provides a small snack on site.

Participation is open to everyone – just drop by, watch or actively participate.
Raw fibres, wool and spinning wheels/spindles are available - feel free to bring your own spinning wheel or spindle and get started right away.

Note:
If you would like to actively participate as a spinner, we look forward to receiving your short registration at cschadegg@bluewin.ch or caroline.schadegg@biosfera.ch. This helps us with planning, but it is not a must.
