UNESCO-Welterbetag 2026 in Müstair

In 2026, the World Heritage Days will take place for the 10th time. In the St. Johann Monastery, guided tours on the annual theme of "Layers" invite you to discover the 1250-year history of the monastery.

Our program

From 1.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m., numerous free guided tours provide insight into the more than 1250-year history of the monastery.

Last opportunity: In 2026, there will be the last opportunity to view the murals in the middle lapsis of the monastery church up close. At the end of the year, the restoration work will be completed and the scaffolding will be dismantled again.

From 1.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m., a small book flea market in front of the monastery shop la butia invites you to browse.
There is a choice of books on a wide variety of cultural and historical topics, which are given away for a voluntary donation.
