Our holiday home in a sunny location is located in Tschierv, the first village after the Ofen Pass. In summer, you can set off directly from the house on countless, well-marked hiking and biking tours in the Biosfera region of Val Müstair. The Swiss National Park is also easily accessible by private or post bus and is always worth a visit. A special gem is the small, heated outdoor swimming pool in the village (free admission). Not only in bad weather is a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Monastery of St. Johann Müstair or one of the other museums in the valley worthwhile. A cycling or hiking tour, a ride on the Vinschgau cable car or a cable car, kitesurfing on Lake Resia – you can do this and much more in nearby South Tyrol. Even in winter, there is always something to experience in Tschierv and Val Müstair: a well-maintained network of trails for all levels of difficulty, on which world-class skiers have already been able to prove their skills as part of the FIS Tour de Ski, makes the heart of cross-country skiers beat faster. In the small and fine ski resort of Minschuns, which lies above Tschierv, alpine skiers can ski. The toboggan run is particularly suitable for families: with a length of about 4 km, it leads from Lü to Tschierv. At night, the toboggan run is illuminated. The start can be easily reached by post bus and the finish is only a 5-minute walk from the holiday home. There are also numerous possibilities for ski tourers, snowshoe hikers and winter hikers. Ice skating and ice hockey are possible on the ice rink in Tschierv, as well as a game of curling. For all summer and winter activities, it is possible to rent the necessary equipment in Tschierv directly or in the valley.
