On 11 June 2026, a special concert evening awaits you in the historic Chasa Jaura in Val Müstair.
As part of the Scuol Classics festival, the success of Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th Symphony will be followed by the next highlight: Carmina Burana by Carl Orff in collaboration with the Golden Gate Symphony Orchestra & Chorus. An international ensemble connects cultures from Graubünden and the USA – united by the language of music.

As part of this exchange, the Vocal Quartet No. 1, composed of the Golden Gate Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, presents a varied program with four singers and piano accompaniment. Look forward to finely tuned ensemble singing and musical diversity in an intimate atmosphere.

Program
The approximately 1-hour concert leads through three musical worlds - from romantic vocal music to folk songs to musicals and Broadway.
In the first part, selected love song waltzes by Johannes Brahms as well as excerpts from Robert Schumann's Spanish Liederspiel will be performed in chamber music arrangements.
The second part is dedicated to Romanesque songs from the Engadine and brings traditional timbres of the region to the stage.
Finally, highlights from the musical and Broadway repertoire follow with music by Stephen Sondheim and Cy Coleman - lively, rhythmic and entertaining.
