Description

In winter, Lü is the starting point for the high-altitude trail and the toboggan run to Tschierv. The four-kilometre trail starts directly at the Postbus stop and leads leisurely on regular terrain through snow-covered forests to Tschierv. Where the piste leaves the forest, the panorama opens up to the opposite side of the valley and towards the east. Impressive: the Ortler massif in the background. Tschierv is the destination of the descent. The uppermost valley community in Val Müstair lies south-east of the Ofen Pass and borders the Swiss National Park. Exciting: the residential buildings in Tschierv are influenced by both the Engadin and nearby South Tyrol. Particularly worth seeing are the village districts of Chasuras, Plaz and Süsom Tschierv as well as the 15th century Tschierv church with its restored organ.

The toboggan run can also be started from Alp Champatsch, but you first have to walk from Lü towards Alp Chamaptsch. After the ascent to Alp Chamaptsch, you can stop for refreshments at Restaurant La Posa and then begin the rapid ride to Tschierv.

Tip: Walk up from Lü to Alp Champatsch, where raclette or fondue can be ordered in advance at full moon, tel. +41 (0)81 858 56 02. Sledge hire possible in Lü, Müstair and Tschierv.

Anreise Information

From the north: Via Landquart - Klosters by car transport through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or over the Flüela Pass to Zernez on H27. From Zernez on the H28 into Val Müstair to Fuldera (40 minutes' drive from the Vereina south portal).
From the east: via the Reschen Pass (Nauders) on the SS40 to Mals. From Mals on the SS41 to the Swiss border to Müstair. From Müstair on the H28 to Fuldera.
From the south: Via Bolzano and Merano on the SS40 to Malles/Mals. From Mals on the SS41 to the Swiss border to Müstair. From Müstair on the H28 to Fuldera.

Lü is located above Fuldera and can be reached via a side road in 10 minutes by car.
