Description

The route leads from Scuol through the Val S-charl, past the God da Tamangur mountain pine forest all the way to the Alp Astras and then on a flow trail over the da Costainas Pass (2,251m). This trail continues to the Alp Champatsch and along the forest road to Lü and Tschierv. After Tschierv there is a longish section through the forest to Valchava before the ascent to Döss Radond (2,234m). The gravelled road then leads to the Val Mora with its famous single track to the Swiss-Italian border. From the border, the route continues to the Lago San Giacomo and from there via the Alpisella (2,299m) to Livigno. From Livigno a very steep climb leads to the tour’s highest point, the Chaschauna Pass (2,694m) from where a perfectly maintained single track takes you to the Alp Champatsch. From S-chanf you embark on the “easiest part” of the tour through villages of the Lower Engadine past Zernez, through Susch, Lavin, Guarda and Ftan back to Scuol.
